About Ron:
Nature photographer Ron Pile has always had an engrossing interest in nature and wildlife, from his boyhood growing up on a farm in West-Central Illinois to the present. His love of nature has led to many hours of volunteer work with The Nature Conservancy and the National Audubon Society. Since retiring from his job as a Captain for United Airlines, Ron can frequently be found turning his camera to the skies, tracking avian subjects. His sense of composition and attention to detail is evident in each photograph.
Past juried exhibitions include Steenbock Gallery in Madison Wisconsin; Mississippi Flyway at the Figge Art Museum Arts Café, Davenport, Iowa; Kingdom of Animals at the Overture Center Gallery One, in Madison, Wisconsin; and Wisconsin Waters at the Pyle Center in Madison, Wisconsin. He has also exhibited solo at Robert Rae Gallery of Fine Art in Stoughton, Wisconsin.
Ron and his wife, the beautiful and talented Sharon Beckman, currently reside outside Iowa City, Iowa in an area of uncommon natural beauty and an abundance of “photo ops.”
